Stir-fried Chicken Nuggets with Broccoli 西蘭花炒雞球

Ingredients:
  • 250g Broccoli
  • 150g Chicken steak 
  • Some garlic
Sauce:
  • 1 tsp. soya sauce
  • 1 tsp. corn-starch
  • 2 tsp. cooking wine
  • a little salt



Preparation steps:
  1. Marinate chicken nuggets with the sauce
  2. Heat up the wok quickly while adding a bit of oil
  3. Add in some diced garlic, cook until light brown
  4. Add in chicken nuggets, and quickly stir-fry until half-cooked
  5. Add in broccoli pieces, stir-fry until broccoli turns deep green
  6. Pour some water, cover the wok with a lid for 8 min
  7. Remove the lid, and stir-fry a bit
  8. Tadah! Now you can enjoy this healthy and delicious dish!
Special Techniques:
  • When covering the wok with a lid, leave a small gap  to let some steam escape, such that the broccoli won't be over-cooked and turns yellow
  • Corn starch improves chicken nuggets' chewing texture

Black sesame soy milk 黑芝麻豆漿

Ingredients:
  • 200g Soy beans
  • 600g Water
  • 20g Black sesame

Preparation steps:
  1. Wash and soak the soy beans fully under water for 16 hrs
  2. Cook the soy beans in water for 15 mins to soften them*
  3. Pour the soy beans into a food mixer
  4. Pour in water. "Water : beans" ratio is 3:1
  5. Pour in the black sesame
  6. Start the mixer, and mix them well
  7. Sieve the mixture through a piece of filter cloth
  8. Tadah! Now enjoy your fresh homemade soya milk!

Special Techniques:
  • Pour in the ingredients into the mixer little by little for a fine mixture
  • Cook the finished soya-milk to extend its storage life in a fridge (max. 3 days recommended)

  • Soya bean is rich in phytoestrogen, a dietary estrogen
  • Black sesame is rich in Vit. B and E, and is good for the hair
